Saudi Arabia declares foiling bid to blow up mosque

RIYADH, May 29 (KUNA) -- Saudi security authorities foiled on Friday a plan to blow up a booby-trapped car outside a mosque in Al-Dammam, according to the ministry of interior.
A ministry spokesman quoted by the official Saudi Press Agency said security personnel suspected a car heading toward a parking lot near the mosque. "While approaching it, it blew up killing four persons, one of them is suspected to be the bomber." The blast set nearby cars afire. (end) rk
