Youth ministry examines juniors' potentials -- official

KUWAIT, May 28 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of State for Youth Affairs supports the youth by assessing and developing their skills so they could serve the country in the best way possible, said a ranking official on Thursday.
The ministry adopts a clear approach for backing the youngsters; that is by uncovering their skills and sharpening them so that they can serve the country in the best form possible in all domains, said Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the ministry's assistant undersecretary, in remarks to KUNA.
Al-Mutairi was speaking at inauguration of the "second meeting for employing and developing the youth potentials," representing the Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, held at the National Library headquarters.
The ministry implements programs and schemes at this level, in coordination with other government departments and societies as well as youth as individuals, in line with the strategy to help them participate in the country's leadership.
These activities are in line with guidelines of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Chairperson of the volunteer group, "Nartaqi," Suad Al-Zaid, affirmed that the gathering was aimed at shedding light on the youngsters' capabilities and educating the society about their potentials. (end) ayr.hb.rk
