ALO Director General discusses labor issues

BEIRUT, May 27 (KUNA) -- Director General of the Arab Labor Organization (ALO) Fayez Al-Mutairi stressed here on the importance of boosting cooperation between governments and employers in the Arab World.
He made the remarks to KUNA on Wednesday, on the sidelines of his visit to Lebanon during which he met the Lebanese Minister of Labor, besides local labor and economic officials. They discussed during the meetings, issues related to the labor three parties, namely: governments, employers and employees.
ALO deals equally with all of the labor parties, and works to support stability in the Arab World in order to create an appropriate working environment and offers job opportunities to the manpower, Al-Mutairi said.
ALO exerts all possible efforts to boost development in order to decrease rate of unemployment and reduce burden on governments.
The work of ALO will focus on implementing the recommendations of the Organizations general conference that is held annually, he affirmed.
Al-Mutairi, who is a Kuwaiti citizen, was nominated unanimously for the post at the 42nd session of the Arab Labor Organization, held in Kuwait last month. (end) mah.lb
