Kuwait loses to Uruguay 7-10 in water polo tourney

TEHRAN, May 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait national water polo team lost to the Uruguayan team 7-10 Sunday in the 5th FINA World Men's Water Polo Development Trophy 2015, held in the Iranian capital with participation of 10 countries.
Most players in the Kuwaiti team are juniors, Khaled Al-Shawaf, assistant coach, stated to KUNA, noting that the team is missing seven main players due to school examinations.
Al-Shawaf expressed his hope that the team attains positive results in the international tourney, pointing out the Kuwaiti team's achievements in previous tournaments such as the fourth place in 2007, first place in 2009, third place in 2011, and fifth place in 2013.
The team will face Azerbaijan team on Tuesday in its second match of the 5th FINA World Men's Water Polo Development Trophy 2015.
The six-day tournament is to last till May 29th.
Kuwaiti's group includes Saudi Arabia, Malta and Azerbaijan, while the other group includes Iran, Tunisia, Indonesia, Austria and Guatemala. (Pick up previous) mw.ma
