Turkey says it is standing with S. Arabia against terrorism

ANKARA, May 23 (KUNA) -- Turkey, condemning the Friday terrorist bombing in Al-Qatif, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday pledged to cooperate with the Kingdom in the combat against terrorism.
The foreign ministry said in a statement that Ankara would cooperate with Riyadh in confronting terrorism affirming support for the Saudi people for sake of safeguarding their security and stability.
"We condemn in strong terms the terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in Al-Qatif in eastern Saudi Arabia during the Friday prayers, leaving many worshippers dead," the ministry said.
According to spokesman for Saudi Ministry of Interior, a suicide bomber on Friday blew up his explosive belt at a mosque in the town of Al-Qedaih in Al-Qatif governorate, killing and injuring several people. (end) rs.rk
