OIC condemns "terrorist explosion" in Saudi mosque

JEDDAH, May 22 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the "terrorist explosion" against a mosque in the town of Al-Qediah in the eastern governorate of Al-Qatif on Friday.
"Those who executed, planned and supported this act seek to fragment components of the area and divide its people ... and creating a state of sustainable chaos," OIC Secretary General Iyad Madani said in a statement.
The attack on Al-Qediah mosque, which violated the sanctity of places of worship, "is only carried out by a terrorist who abondons his Islam and humanity," said Madani.
He voiced complete solidarity with the Saudi government in its efforts to fighting terrorism.
Madani extended condolences for families of the victims, wishing speedy recovery for the injured.
The mosque attack killed 21 people and injured 102 others. (end) nh.bs
