Info. Min stresses full-fledged Arab media strategy importance

KUWAIT, May 22 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah stressed Friday the importance of building a full-fledged Arab media strategy that keeps up with latest developments and challenges surrounding region.
Sheikh Salman, also Minister of State for Youth Affairs, made his press remarks following his return home after heading Kuwait's delegation to the 46th meeting of the Arab Ministers of Information in Cairo.
He said that Arab information ministers also stressed the importance of such a strategy in establishing social security and stability in various Arab communities, pointing out also the strategy's major effect in supporting important Arab issues such as the Palestinian cause.
Specifying an Arab media day, April 21st, to celebrate significant accomplishments of Arab media at cultural and intellectual levels, said the information minister, affirmed Arab information ministers' keenness in enhancing youth competencies and supporting their serious initiatives regarding the new media such as social networks.
