KUWAIT, May 18 (KUNA) -- The Environment Public Authority (EPA) Sunday brushed aside what social media cited as "irresponsible" sources claiming 1,500 kilograms of poisonous radioactive uranium were missing in Kuwait.
"What have been reported is not true," EPA said in a statement to KUNA, urging citizens and expatriates to turn deaf ears to these statements, which "cause a state of fear and panic."
It underlined that EPA would preserve the right to file a law suit against anyone uttering these remarks.
People should get relevant information from reliable sources and specialized authorities, said EPA. (end)
