KUWAIT, May 16 (KUNA) -- The head of the Mexican federal government and Mexico City Mayor, Miguel Angel Mancera, has received a visiting Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation, discussing prospects of cementing bilateral relations.
The Kuwaiti ambassador, Samih Johar Hayat, told KUNA Mancera received the head of the friendship committee, MP Yousef Al-Zalzalah, discussing ways to bolster the relations in various areas. They exchanged viewed on activating the twinning agreement, signed between the Kuwaiti and Mexican capitals three years ago, to be in tandem with the high level of relations between the two friendly countries.
The discussions also dealt with cooperation at various levels and a host of issues of common interest.
According to the Kuwaiti embassy, the Kuwaiti MP also held talks with the Deputy Foreign Minister, Carlos Alberto de Icaza Gonzalez, tackling identical issues. The two meetings were attended by the Kuwaiti MPs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Teraiji and Saif Al-Azmi.
MP Al-Zalzalah, during the current mission in the nation, had held talks with Mexico's President of the Chamber of Deputies Julio Cesar Moreno, in addition to meetings with other Mexican parliamentarians. (end) nbs.rk
