King Salman delegates Crown Prince to GCC-US summit

RIYADH, May 10 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman has asked Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Mohammad bin Nayef to head his country's delegation to GCC-US summit in Camp David, scheduled May 13, announced Sunday Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir.
In a press statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Jubeir clarified that the King has decided to delegate the Crown Prince to the summit to be able to follow up the developments in Yemen, especially as the meeting will coincide with the start of Saudi-offered five-day humanitarian ceasefire in Yemen to facilitate the delivery of relief aid to the people in need.
He pointed out that the Saudi delegation will also include Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Defense Prince Mohammad bin Salman and several senior officials.
He added that the summit will bring together GCC leaders with the US President Barack Obama. (end) od.ibi
