His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during attendance Operetta "Sidrat AL-Amal"
KUWAIT, May 6 (KUNA) -- Al-Sidra Cancer Support Center organized an Operetta "Sidrat AL-Amal" on hope for cancer patients at Bayan Palace theater on Wednesday, under the patronage and attendance of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The ceremony included showing a documentary movie on the center's history and services, followed by a speech of the center's Chairman of the Board Sheikha Azza Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, and presenting a gift for His Highness the Amir before the operetta started.
Sheikha Azza said that the center is a voluntary work of consultant medical oncologist and head of the Breast Group and Breast Unit at Kuwait Cancer Control Center Dr. Shafika Al-Awadi, Consultant at the Psychiatric Hospital Dr. Rasil Boresli and therapist Altaf Al-Essa.
Meanwhile, she praised the role of His Highness in financing and supporting the center and thanked all governmental bodies who supported the project as well as organizers and participants of the operetta.
The ceremony was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, former speaker Jasem Al-Kharafi, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah and other top officials.(end)
