Saudi King, GCC chief discuss promoting GCC efforts

RIYADH, May 4 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held talks Monday with Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani.
The talks dealt with ways of enhancing and promoting efforts to serve the interests of the GCC States and their peoples, as well as reviewing the latest regional and international developments, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Al-Zayani congratulated the Saudi King on the selection of Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz as Crown Prince, Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior and Chairman of Political and Security Affairs Council, the agency added.
He also congratulated the Saudi King on the appointment of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz as Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Council of Economic Affairs and Development. (end) yms.nbs.hs
