MOSCOW, April 29 (KUNA) -- A visiting Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation, headed by MP Saud Al-Hereiji, held talks Wednesday with Uzbek Minister for Religions Affairs and Chair of the Committee on Religious Affairs Artukbek Adilovich Yusupov.
The discussions focused on religious and Islamic issues and the activities of Interntational Islamic Charitable Organization in Uzbekistan, a source at the Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation told KUNA.
They also touched on the assistance provided by the State of Kuwait in this area as the two sides praised the efforts made by the International Islamic Charitable Organization in Uzbekistan, including its activity in the field of sponsoring orphans, building of mosques, distribution of copies of the Holy Quran and print copies of the Holy Quran for the blind.
The delegation includes MPs Mohammad Al-Enezi, Dr. Ahmad Al-Azmi, Hamdan Al-Azmi, Humoud Al-Hamdan and Mohammad Al-Hadiya. (end) as.ss
