Kuwait's Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah with youth and sports ministers of Saudi Arabia
CAIRO, April 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah met with a number of his Arab counterparts on the sideline of the meetings of the Executive Bureau of the Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports Council which kicked off its 58th session here on Tuesday.
Among those he met with was the Iraqi minister of youth and sports Abdul-Hussein Abtan about whose meeting Sheikh Salman told KUNA was "fruitful".
Sheikh Salman said his talks with minister Abtan was a continuation of their talks which they held in Kuwait last month, adding that they discussed the necessity to sign a memorandum of understanding between them regarding issues of sports and youth and means of cooperating together to enhance them.
The Kuwaiti minister hoped such a memorandum be signed within the next two weeks, adding that minister Abtan supported the notion of Kuwait's presidency of the Executive Bureau of the Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports Council.
Sheikh Salman informed minister Abtan of Kuwait's keenness to boost its ties with Iraq in all fields of interest, not excluding sports and youth affairs.
Other than meeting with the Iraqi minister, Sheikh Salman also met with youth and sports ministers of Tunisia, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia.
Sheikh Salman arrived here yesterday at the head of a delegation to attend the Council's meetings . (pick up previous)
