CAIRO, April 28 (KUNA) -- Executive Bureau of the Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports Council kicked off its 58th session in Cairo on Tuesday to discuss issues relevant to joint action in the field.
Chairman and Director General of the Public Authority for Youth and Sport (PAYS) Sheikh Ahmed Al-Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah is leading Kuwait's delegation to the two-day ministerial gatherings.
Youth and Sports Ministers, or representatives, from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia and Morocco, are attending the session presided over by Egypt.
The session started with a meeting for the Arab Fund for Youth and Sports Activities to discuss reports on previous activities.
Participants will also address recommendations by the youth, sports and financial committees on the activities and programs to be implemented this year.
Recommendations and draft resolutions to be made today will be submitted to the ministers' meeting on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, PAYS Deputy Director General for Public Affairs Jassem Al-Huwaidi has emphasized the limitless support by Kuwait's political leadership to youth activities and programs, under His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
This is embodied in the orientation adopted by Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Al-Huwaidi told KUNA today on the sidelines of the Cairo meeting.
Al-Huwaidi, also a member of the financial committee of the Arab Fund for Youth and Sports Activities, noted that the Executive Bureau discussions focus on reports by sub-committees.
These include a financial control report for 2013, a balance sheet for 2014 and the Fund's 2015 budget. (end) ms.mfm.rg.msa
