KRCS to provide urgent aid to Nepal - Dr. Al-Sayer

KUWAIT, April 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced Tuesday it will provide urgent humanitarian and medical aid for quake-stricken Nepal.
The Society, in coordination with the Kuwaiti embassy in Nepal and international organizations, will fulfill its humanitarian obligations in manifestation of Kuwait's keenness to help those in need throughout the world and victims of natural disasters everywhere, said Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, chairman of the KRCS, said in a press release.
The 7.8-magnitude quake jolted the South Asian land-locked country last Saturday and left more than 4,000 people dead and some 7,000 injured. (end) akw.hb
