Car bombs kill 4 soldiers on Iraq-Jordan border crossing

BAGHDAD, April 25 (KUNA) -- At least four Iraqi soldiers were killed when three suicide bombers exploded their explosive-laden cars at the Tureibil border crossing between Iraq and Jordan on Saturday, an Iraqi border police source said.
The explosions killed four Iraqi security personnel, including an officer, and injured seven others, who were taken to a hospital for receiving treatment, the source added.
As a result of the explosions, Jordan announced it responded by stepping up security measures at the crossing, while Iraq said that it would open an investigation into the assault.
The crossing has been attacked by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). (end) ah.hm
