Saudi Arabia lists confiscated items seized during arrest of suspect

RIYADH, April 24 (KUNA) -- The Saudi Ministry of Interior listed on Friday items that it have confiscated during the arrest of one of the suspects in a recent murder of two policemen in the eastern side of the city of Riyadh.
The ministry said in a statement that "the ongoing intensive investigations in this case led to the confiscation" of assault Polish-made Sub-machine gun (7.62mm caliber), found buried at 50 centimeters deep in a walled ground in the desert, about one kilometer off the farm where the suspect was hiding in Al-Awained Center.
"The forensics laboratories testing of the empty shell casings and bullets against the Sub-machine's unique forensic print, which proved that it was the crime weapon.
"Buried with the Sub-machine, were also found another automatic weapon, seven magazines of ammunition, 166 live bullets, and a sum of 4,898 Saudi Riyals.
"Seven vehicles of which three were already undergoing booby-trapping, in addition to a substance suspected of having an explosive nature, along with other tools and items used in bomb making, and a sum of 4,500 Saudi Riyals.
"Three mobile phone devices of which one was hidden inside a car tire abandoned at the shoulder of the road to the Province of Rumah.
"The other two devices were found buried close by.
"The technical examination of the contents of the three devices revealed exchanged text messages between the perpetrators and the terrorist groups in Syria.
"Of these messages, one includes a text, audio and video confirmation of the attack.
"Another message instructs them to hide and stay out of sight," the statement added. (pickup previous) od.mb
