Storm kills 3 people in Australia's South Eastern Coast

KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (KUNA) -- At least three people were killed in the continuing strong winds battering the South Eastern Coast of Australia for several days.
At least 20 persons were rescued from flood waters, Australian police spokesman said in a press conference, describing the winds as the worst in the past five years.
He added that thousands of trees were knocked down and 10,000 people are without power, noting that firemen extinguished 75 fires so far in west NSW.
The weather is likely to worsen in the coming hours, New South Wales Premier Mike Baird warned, urging people in affected areas to consider leaving work early, Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) quoted him as saying.
