Kuwait SC wins KBA League for 8th time in history

KUWAIT, April 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait SC won Kuwait Basketball Association's (KBA) League after smashing Qadsia SC 70-47 in a thrilling game that saw the former dominating both ends of the court on Sunday.
Kuwait began the first quarter with a tight defense and managing to end the quarter leading by one point 10-9.
They expanded the lead in the second quarter to end it 29-18, with Qadsia struggling to score.
Kuwait continued their control of the tempo of the game and ended the third quarter 48-34.
Kuwait won the championship after winning two of the best-of-three final.
Kazma SC won the silver medal after beating Al-Jahra 71-54.
Jaafar Al-Darazi, in charge of Kuwait team, said in a statement to KUNA that the players earned the championship and "succeeded in winning the title for the third year running." He thanked the club administration for their overwhelming support of the players.
Qadsia won 21 KBA league titles through the competition history. Kazma won it nine times, Kuwait eight, Al-Jahra five and Al-Sahel once. (end) ayr.bs
