Palestine's unity gov't arrives in Gaza to end split

GAZA, April 19 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Palestinian unity government Ali Abu-Diak said that ministers arrived in the Gaza Strip in order to end splits and start registering the lists of employees who were in office before 2007.
This came during a press conference on Sunday when the ministers and a number of senior officials arrived in the Strip coming from Ramallah via Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing.
Abu-Diak added that his government will start today forming committees, authorities and bodies tasked with registering workers to work on resolving their problems.
For his part, the government spokesman Ehab Bessaiso said that the cabinet seeks to break the current stalemate in the Palestinian scene and launch a practical initiative to integrate all employees in accordance with laws and regulations.
He added the government also tries to find solutions to the outstanding issues.
He noted the government will work on creating a positive climate through resolving these issues, indicating the government will visit the Strip again in a bid to remove obstacles in the Strip.
The spokesman underlined the necessity to support the government to help it put an end to the crisis in the Strip. (end) wab.hm
