RAMALLAH, April 17 (KUNA) -- Seven Palestinians were wounded by Israeli forces during clashes at Prisoners' Day annual rally in the West Bank, local media reports said.
The clashes broke out in front of Ofer prison between Israeli forces and scores of young Palestinians, wounding two of them seriously after Israeli soldiers used banned bullets which killed three Palestinians during the past four weeks.
In Na'leen village, west of Ramallah, three young Palestinians had been shot with a banned bullet type that explodes inside the body, during an Israeli army dispersal of a peaceful march launched in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
On another front, a rally for the same cause kicked off in the central village of Bal'in west of Ramallah, with the participation of the various forces and factions, national and Islamic groups which were dispersed by Israeli army using tear gas and sound bombs.
The Palestinian Popular Committee Against the Wall said in a press statement that Israeli occupation forces injured a Palestinian, 17, with live ammunition, during another march which started from the center of the village towards the lands confiscated by Israeli authorities for the construction of the wall and racist expansion.
In Kafr Qadoom, north of the West Bank, in another march on the same occasion, Israeli forces arrested a young Palestinian after firing live bullets. (end) nq.mb
