Head of the Kuwait Association for the Ideal Family and Ambassador of Arab Women Investors Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah
SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt, April 16 (KUNA) -- Egypt's General Union for Civil Society Associations has chosen Head of the Kuwait Association for the Ideal Family and Ambassador of Arab Women Investors Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as its honorary chairperson.
"I declare that Sheikha Fariha is the federation's honorary chairperson," the federation's chairman Talaat Abdelqawi addressed a session held on the second day of the 17th Arab Investment Conference and Exhibition.
Abdelqawi noted that the federation's membership is not restricted to Egypt.
On the other hand, he called for civil society organizations to play a significant role in fighting terrorism through boosting development and providing job opportunities.
Earlier on Wednesday, Governor of Egypt's South Sinai Khaled Fouda honored Head of the Kuwait Association for the Ideal Family and Ambassador of Arab Women Investors Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He stressed the significance of Sheikha Fariha's participation in the event, which started here on April 14 and runs until April 17.
Among the goals of the event are to attract Arab investors abroad and encourage them to transfer their investments to the region as well as create an industrial partnership between Arab female and male investors in collaboration with international experts. (end)
