TAROUDANT, Morocco, April 11 (KUNA) -- Visiting Kuwait Municipal Council delegation, currently on a visit to Morocco, toured on Saturday a number of municipal utilities and civil society institutions to become acquainted with the Moroccan experience in the field of urban organization in Oulad Teima city of Taroudant province, south-west of Morocco.
Head of the water treatment plant in Oulad Teima Muhammad Salim said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this station is constructed on 67 hectares area and is working on a sewage treatment for the city and reduces the harmful bacteria and microbes on the environment.
For his part, head of Al-Raafa Society for orphans and the elderly in the city Ahmed Shaybah said in a similar statement to KUNA that this society is designed to accommodate children who are orphans or those living in harsh conditions, in addition to providing them with the necessary assistance in terms of education, health care and specialized training courses.
He added that the society also provides opportunities for the development of young people, children, women and the elderly for a decent life and to ensure safety of their rights guaranteed by the state and equal opportunities. (end) fo.tg
