MOSCOW, April 9 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti parliamentary friendship group headed by MP Hamad Al-Harshani held talks here Thursday with head of the foreign affairs committee at the Georgian parliament.
Kuwait's Ambassador to Romania and non-resident Ambassador to Georgia Mubarak Al-Suhaijan told KUNA that the talks focused on means to bolster bilateral relations and to expand economic and investments cooperation.
He added that the Georgian official shed lights on the investment opportunities in his country, especially in the agriculture sector, stressing that Georgia welcomes Kuwaiti investors.
The Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation arrived in Tbilisi earlier Thursday in an official visit to the Georgia.
The lawmakers have been delegated by Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim to extend an invitation to his Georgian counterpart to visit Kuwait.
Furthermore, the lawmakers are scheduled to meet with the Georgian Speaker of the House, and with Georgia's Foreign Minister, and with Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
In addition to MP Al-Harshani, the Kuwaiti delegation includes MPs Talal Al-Sehali, Abdullah Al-Adwani, Faisal Al-Kandari, Sultan Al-Shammari and Mansour Al-Dhafeeri. (end) as.ibi
