BEIRUT, April 8 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) on Wednesday distributed more humanitarian aid to some 350 Syrian refuge families living in several areas in Mount Lebanon.
In a statement to KUNA, head of the KRCS' mission Dr. Musaed Al-Enezi said that this fresh aid is part of the KRCS's relief campaign, which covers about 500 Syrian refuge families in different areas in Lebanon, adding that the aid included foodstuffs, cleaning tools and fuel. He noted that more relief effors need to be exerted in order to help Syrian refugees in Lebanon overcome tough circumstances they are facing.
The KRCS will meet with different humanitarian organizations and agencies to discuss the needs of Syrian refugees living in this Arab country, he pointed out.
The KRCS has been providing humanitarian aid to Syrian refugees in several parts in Lebanon since the eruption of the Syrian crisis in a bid to alleviate their suffering.
KRCS Chairman Hilal Al-Sayer visited last February the makeshifts of Syrian refugees in Lebanon and aid was distributed to about 10,000 Syrian families there.
Earlier today, KRCS handed out relief aid to some 850 Syrian refugee families in Jordan. (end) ayb.hm
