By Mahdi Nimr MILAN, Italy, April 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwait General Consul in Milan and Northern Italy Abdulnasser Bukhadhour said Tuesday Kuwait pavilion at Expo Milan 2015 was ready to receive visitors, thanks to the teamwork of all people behind it.
Speaking to KUNA, Bukhadhour said Kuwait sought to convey a civilized image for all visitors of the six-month Expo Milan 2015 which would be opened on May 1.
He said expressed gratitude for the care of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, which encouraged all teams to complete their work with dedication and enjoyment.
Bukhadour thanked the Italian government and local administrations for facilitating the construction of infrastructure and transportation network, which brought about smooth establishment of the Kuwaiti pavilion.
He added that Kuwait Consulate was prepared for the reception of Kuwaiti visitors and facilitating their stay, all in coordination with local authorities.
He said the Kuwaiti pavilion would feature participation of economic and cultural institutes, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) and other bodies. Bukhadhour said they would hold many cultural seminars, musicals and exhibitions.
The Kuwaiti pavilion has the theme of "Challenge of Nature," and will highlight how water, agriculture and energy are the biggest challenges that Kuwait is facing to ensure a better quality of life aligned with sustainability.
It will also highlight role of the country under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, who was honored by the UN last September as a "Humanitarian Leader," and Kuwait as a "Humanitarian Center," said Bukhadhour. (end) mn.bs
