KUWAIT, April 1 (KUNA) -- The First issue of the Kuwaiti currency was put into circulation by the Kuwait Currency Board on Saturday, April 1, 1961, replacing the then circulated Indian Rupee. The issuance was carried out after an agreement between Kuwaiti and Indian governments. To date six series of the Kuwaiti dinar banknote have been printed. (end) na.ibi
