UNRWA extends cash aid to 200 Palestinian families

GAZA, April 1 (KUNA) -- The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has provided cash aid to about 200 Palestinian families affected by the recent war on Gaza.
The aid worth USD 667,199 was offered by the Japanese government to the UNRWA's financial support program to fund the reconstruction of damaged homes in the Gaza Strip, the agency said in a statement on Wednesday.
The agency further noted that it needs more funds to resume its program for sheltering purposes. (end) wab.ag
