USD stands at KD 0.300

KUWAIT, April 1 (KUNA) -- The exchange rate of the US Dollar against the Kuwaiti Dinar was stable on Wednesday exchanging at KD 0.300, and also the Euro stabilized at KD 0.324 compared to Tuesday's exchange rates, said the daily bulletin of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK).
The Sterling Pound exchange went up to reach KD 0.446, while the Swiss Franc stabilized at KD 0.309 and the Japanese Yen remained unchanged at KD 0.002.
The stable exchange rates of some major currencies was due to absence of major economic data worldwide, excluding the UK Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the fourth quarter of 2014, which witnessed a growth of 0.6 percent, while the British economy grew by 3 percent.
Currency exchange markets continued to be affected by the US Federal Reserve Bank which indicated that the interest prices are gradually going up this year, which would greatly support the dollar trading compared to other major currencies. (end) mfs.hb.lb
