PIC spurs youth industrial projects - CEO

KUWAIT, March 31 (KUNA) -- Chief Executive Officer of the Kuwait Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) Asaad Al-Saad said here on Tuesday his company supports and spurs Kuwaiti youth to create their own industrial projects.
The company encourages the establishment of youth projects, especially in petrochemical manufacturing industry projects, Al-Saad told KUNA on the sideline of a press conference held today to lunch Al-Mubader Youth-Support and Small Enterprises Development Program.
The Petrochemical Industries Company has products involved in many industries, where the company is seeking to encourage these industries, in cooperation with EQUATE Petrochemical Company, Al-Saad added.
The project is supported by the Public Authority for Industry and the Industrial Bank of Kuwait, which help young people set up new factories, he said.
"The PIC's role is to encourage youth to offer products at competitive prices, something which could ensure successful projects," Al-Saad said.
Al-Mubader Program is sponsored by the petrochemical sector, represented by Petrochemical Industries Company and EQUATE industry, he said, noting that in a later stage, it could be turned into an integrated project drawing encouragement and support from state agencies.
The initiative comes upon directives from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for supporting young people.
For his part, Chief Executive Officer of EQUATE Petrochemiccal Company Mohamed Hussein said that this initiative is a new start to meet the aspirations of Kuwait in the diversification of income sources and the establishment of industries to achieve the vision of His Highness the Amir.
He pointed out that young people represent great importance because they have the energy to achieve the aspirations of this nation.
For her part, Chief Executive of Al-Mubader Project Abrar Faisal Al-Masoud said the program is mainly intended to provide the appropriate environment for Kuwaiti young people to work and create.
The project came response to the directives of His Highness Amir, she added. (end) asj.hb.ss
