(With POL-KUWAIT-AMIR-AWARD) KUWAIT, March 30 (KUNA) -- Kuwait plans to establish a museum keeping and displaying a unique collection of copies of the holy book, the Quran, brought from various countries and Quranic manuscripts, a senior official announced on Monday.
Planned construction of the museum serves the aspired objective of making Kuwait "cultural capital," said Minister of Justice, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sanea.
Minister Al-Sanea was speaking on sidelines of Kuwait's sixth session of the Holy Quran International Recitation and Memorization Award that kick started earlier today -- patronized by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
