GCC chief praises Kuwait for hosting third Syria's donor meeting

RIYADH, March 30 (KUNA) -- GCC Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani Monday commended Kuwait for hosting the third International Pledging Humanitarian Conference for Syria, due tomorrow.
The conference, also known as Kuwait III, shows how the GCC member country was committed to helping the Syrian people and allevating their suffering inside Syria and in neighboring countries, Al-Zayani said in a statement to KUNA.
He appreciated the relentless humanitarian endeavors of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to alleviate suffering of the Syrian people.
Al-Zayani said Kuwait was living to its humanitarian responsibilities, building on the success it achieved during the first and second donors' conferences, held in Kuwait in 2013 and 2014.
He hoped donors would be generous during Kuwait III. (end) yms.bs
