KUWAIT, March 29 (KUNA) -- The Arab Cultural Week in Mexico, which began on March 22nd, concluded here Sunday with the participation of a number of Arab diplomats, including Kuwaiti Ambassador to Mexico Samih Johar Hayat.
In a statement by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Mexico obtained by KUNA, Ambassador Hayat said that Kuwait was keen on participation in the event.
The Arab Cultural Week in Mexico, held under the auspices of the Mexican Foreign Ministry, succeeded in building new bridges between Mexico and the Arab world, said Ambassador Hayat, adding that several exhibitions, meetings, and arts galleries were held during the cultural week.
The Arab Cultural Week was opened last Tuesday by Mexican Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Meade to mark 70 years of Arab-Mexican relations. (end) mjz.gta
