KUWAIT, March 29 (KUNA) -- 1952 -- Iraq's Crown Prince Abdulilah arrived in Kuwait on a three-day official visit.
1954 -- Saudi King Saud bin Abdulaziz paid a seven-day official visit to Kuwait.
1961 -- Kuwait and Saudi Arabia signed a border agreement under which the neutral zone is surveyed and demarcated.
1966 -- Decree-Law 161 was issued to establish an information consulting council under Ministry of Guidance and Information.
1974 -- Kuwait's national football team won the Third GCC Cup.
1975 -- The 1971 Convention Concerning Protection against Hazards of Poisoning Arising from Benzene came into effect in Kuwait.
1983 -- His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah inaugurated the Majerus truck factory.
1989 -- Kuwait signed a protocol on pollution resulting from exploring and utilizing the continental shelf.
2000 -- First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah inaugurated "Al-Hashimi II," regarded as one of the world's largest wooden ships, at the Radisson SAS Hotel. The vessel took two years to construct and was testimony to Kuwaiti creativity and artistry.
2001 -- Kuwait won golden medal in 14th GCC Tennis Tournament for under-14 and a silver medal for general games.
2003 -- Souq Sharq was attacked by Iraqi missiles, causing damage.
2005 -- The Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah placed the cornerstone for Jaber Al-Ahmad City.
2005 -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation opened a bureau in China, in a step that aims to broaden its commercial activity in the world's second largest oil consuming market.
2008 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah headed the country's delegation to the 20th Arab League Summit held in Damascus.
2008 -- Kuwaiti Taekwondo team won six medals; three gold, two silver and a bronze, in the second international Taekwondo championship held in Bahrain.
2010 -- Minister of Health Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer opened Abdullah Al-Abdul Hadi health center in Al-Yarmouk.
2010 -- Kuwait and Djibouti signed an accord for averting double taxation.
2012 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah took part in the 23rd Arab Summit held in Baghdad. (end) gta
