Tunisia ready for massive anti-terrorism rally

TUNIS, March 29 (KUNA) -- The Tunisian Interior Ministry said they have taken all the necessary precautionary security measures to ensure safety of an international anti-terrorism rally, due here on Sunday.
Ministry's spokesman Mohammad Ali Al-Arawa said in a statement last night that the ministry took all preventive measures for the rally which will gather a number of heads of state and government, parliamentarians, and public figures from around the globe.
The spokesman added that routes, main roads, and various entrances to the rally are all secured from its starting point in Bab Saadoun Hall in the center of the capital until reaching the Bardo National Museum.
In the last two days, Kuwait Embassy here said that Kuwaiti MP Mubarak Al-Khurainej will be representing the country during the rally.
Al-Khurainej is to stay in Tunisia for three days, leaving on Tuesday after carrying out some official activities, added the Embassy.
The rally is being held in the wake of the terrorist attack on the Bardo National Museum in Tunis on March 18th, which killed 23 people and wounded 48 others of various nationalities. (end) aly.mb
