By Mohammad Al-Molla

KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 (KUNA) -- A new diplomat will be assigned to the Kuwaiti Embassy's cultural bureau in Malaysia to look into the needs and affairs of Kuwait's students, said a Kuwaiti official Saturday.
During his visit to the Malaysian capital, Head of the Kuwaiti cultural bureau in Australia Dr. Fahad Al-Ajmi, told KUNA that the diplomat will act as a representative for the Kuwaiti bureau in Australia, noting that the procedure was undertaken to facilitate contact with Malaysian universities.
The diplomat will handle all the Kuwaiti students' needs and affairs in Malaysia, said Al-Ajmi, adding that one of the major issues to handle was the renewal of students' visa, a crucial step to allow students to continue study in Malaysia.
The 248 Kuwaiti students in Malaysia must make sure that they are enrolled at universities and academic approved by Kuwait's Ministry of Higher Education, stressed Al-Ajmi.
The Kuwaiti cultural bureau in Australian capital Canberra handles the national students' affairs in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, and the Southeast Asian region. (end) mam.gta
