Dr. Al-Asfour goodwill ambassador for 3rd year

KUWAIT, March 22 (KUNA) -- Global Tolerance and Peace Organization appointed Director of Al-Sabah Health Area Dr. Adel Al-Asfour as the Ambassador of Peace and Tolerance for 2015-2016, for the third consecutive time -- the first such record at the regional level.
Dr. Al-Asfour praised in a statement the organization's confidence, granting him the Goodwill Ambassador title in humanity for the third time in a row, stressing that "charitable activities are not strange to the people of Kuwait and His Highness the Amir, who made great efforts in charity and humanitarian work that has reached all parts of the world." For his part, President of Peace and Tolerance Organization Hamdi Qandil said granting the title for Dr. Al-Asfour for the third year gives Kuwait distinguished record in the organization, noting that Dr. Al-Asfour will be honored for having this title in a ceremony to be held in Kuwait in the end of March.
Qandil also lauded professional effort by Dr. Al-Asfour to alleviate suffering of patients, without any discrimination.
His strong belief that medicine is associated with mercy to others without discrimination was behind the organization's decision to renew the title for him as goodwill ambassador in Kuwait, it said.
The organization had never renewed such a title for any of the ambassadors for three years. (end) mf.ss
