KUWAIT, March 19 (KUNA) -- Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah received on Thursday Director of Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) Laure Suleiman.
Sheikh Mubarak, during the meeting, congratulated Suleiman on winning an award for the best smart applications, at Lebanon's level.
The award had been granted to the NNA as part of Kuwait's e-government shield contest.
Talks between Sheikh Mubarak and the eminent Lebanese guest dealt with issues that concern Arab media organizations and efforts for upgrading the Arab media. The two sides affirmed necessity of activating the previously-signed KUNA-NAA cooperation agreement and means of renewing language of the Arab media and ridding it of clichأ©s.
Suleiman received the Kuwaiti award at a ceremony held here late on Wednesday. (end) tb.rk
