Qatar, S. Korea sign cooperative MoUs

DOHA, March 8 (KUNA) -- Qatar and the Republic of Korea on Sunday signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields.
An MoU was signed between the Diplomatic Institute at Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Diplomatic Academy at South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).
The second was signed between Qatar's Ministry of Energy and Industry and the South Korean Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning to boost cooperation in human resources development and research on the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
Cooperation between Qatar Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea was the focus of another MoU. A fourth covers cooperation in education.
The signing ceremony was attended by Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and visiting South Korea President Park Geun-hye. (end) nnd.msa
