CAIRO, March 5 (KUNA) -- A reshuffle of Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab's cabinet took place Thursday with eight ministerial changes, most notably the interior minister post, the Egyptian presidency said.
The top post in the interior ministry was assigned to the Director of National Security Department Magdy Abdel-Ghaffar, succeeding Gen Mohammad Ibrahim, revealed the office's statement.
The reshuffle also included the creation of two new ministries, one assigned with the affairs of residents and another for technical education, while the rest included the replacement of the ministers of agriculture, culture, education, communications, information technology and tourism.
The statement added that the new ministers have been sworn in before the Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi, in the presence of the premier. (end) aff.mb
