KCCI to partake in Egypt's economic conf.

KUWAIT, March 4 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) announced that it would participate, with a high-level delegation, in the Egypt Economic Development Conference to be held on March 13-15 in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh.
The KCCI said in a news statement here on Wednesday that the conference, sponsored by President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi, will be held in the framework of the launch of an Egyptian ambitious investment program that seeks to exploit all the country's available capabilities.
Senior officials from several countries around the world are expected to take part in the conference that will shed lights on the economic reforms made by the Egyptian government in order to lure foreign investors, it said.
The congress is also an opportunity to present investment projects in Egypt in the sectors of electricity, energy, transport, infrastructure, mining, logistic services, tourism, food industries, agriculture and shipbuilding, it noted.
The chamber's participation in the event reflects the Kuwaiti private sector's interest in opening new horizons of cooperation with Egypt, which is a key destination of the Kuwaiti capital, the statement made clear.
The delegation includes KCCI's Vice President Khaled Al-Saqer, Second Deputy Abdulwagab Al-Wazzan and other senior members as well as senior officials at several Kuwaiti institutions. (end) fnk.abd.hm
