Maryam Al-Aqeel, the Director General of the Central Statistical Bureau and head of the Kuwaiti delegation, told KUNA that their participation in the three-day meetings was due to the keenness of the Kuwaiti leadership to ensure Kuwait presence and engagement in such international events.
Al-Aqeel added that their participation in these meetings and technical workshops stem from the desire of Kuwait leadership of the importance of statistical work, data, and indexes which are issued by the administration and form the basic path to planning and decision making.
Al-Aqeel thanked the Kuwait foreign ministry staff in the UN for facilitating the delegation's visit and participation in the meetings.
