NAIROBI, March 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Kenya Qusay Rashid Al-Farhan praised the humanitarian work of Kuwaiti charitable societies especially "The Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage (RIHS)", represented by the African Continent Committee.
In remarks to KUNA, the diplomat shed light on the relief aid it offers to alleviate African people's suffering due to political conflicts and natural disasters.
He added following his meeting with African Continent Committee Chairman Jassim Al-Ainati that establishing charity embryonic projects in Africa contributes to the education and development of such poor societies.
Al-Ainati hailed the distinguished role of ambassador Al-Farhan and the Kuwaiti Embassy in Kenya in supporting the humanitarian relief work of RIHS African Committee.
The honoring of the United Nations (UN) by granting to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the title "Humanitarian Leader," is considered honoring to the Kuwaiti people, Al-Ainati affirmed.
The African Committee always follows up on charity projects. Its teams have visited Mombasa City to check the Orphanage project, besides visiting Hattab Hassan Al-Hattab mosque, built by Al-Kawthar Charitable committee.
