UAE moves its embassy in Yemen to Aden

ABU DHABI, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- The United Arab Emirates has decided to re-open its embassy in Yemen and move it to Aden instead of the Houthis-controlled capital Sanaa.
In a press statement issued Friday, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash said that this decision comes to consolidate the constitutional legitimacy in the sisterly state of Yemen represented in President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi, his government, the GCC Initiative and agreed political process in accordance to the recent GCC Foreign Ministers' statement and the United Nations Security Council resolution No. 2201, as well as Yemeni consensus through the inclusive political dialogue.
Gargash reiterated the UAE's absolute rejection to the Houthi coup d'etat and subsequent arbitrary measures on the legitimacy. He underlined that the stability of Yemen would be achieved through restoration of the legitimacy and political process that resulted from the GCC Initiative to preserve the national unity and stability of Yemen.
