GENEVA, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Permanent Delegate to the UN and International Organizations in Geneva Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim received here on Friday Acting Director-General of the UN Office at Geneva (UNOG) Michael Moller, Head of the UN Human Rights Council Ambassador Joachim Rucker, heads of several international organizations and representative of Geneva County government.
They extended their congratulations to the State of Kuwait on the occasion of 54th National Day and the 24th Liberation Day.
Ambassador Al-Ghunaim congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Premier Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and all Kuwaiti people on this occasion.
In a statement to KUNA Friday, Al-Ghunaim said their congratulations show their appreciation to Kuwait's position in international forums on humanitarian and diplomatic levels.
Officials hailed Kuwaiti political role and in participations in UN events. (end)
