KUWAIT, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Under sponsorship of His Highness the Amir, final ceremony of the sea heritage festival was held late on Saturday.
Deputy Amiri Diwan Affairs Minister Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah attended the celebratory gathering, held at the fishermen diwanian in Al-Watyah. He was greeted upon arrival at the site by Hawally Governor, General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the head of the sea heritage commission, Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The latter addressed the attendees, starting with congratulations to the top leaders on forecast advent of the National Days, saying the festival was distinguished with fishing contest grouping 300 contestants, including GCC citizens, indicating that veteran fishermen were also involved in some similar activities. Sheikh Ali Jarrah distributed awards to the winners. (end) kt.rk
