Opposition forces kill 43 soldiers, pro-regime militants S. Syria - SOHR

AMMAN, Feb 14 (KUNA) -- At least 43 soldiers and militiamen belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have been reportedly killed in the fighting with the opposition forces in Daraa during the last week.
Those killed include over 12 officers, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Saturday night.
The regular troops executed 10 soldiers on the suspicion of having contacts with the opposition and Islamist militant groups and informing them of the movements of the army in the southern governorate of Daraa.
In a related development two reporters of a local TV channel were injured as a result of mortar attacks by the opposition groups on Deir Al-Ads village controlled by Hezbollah group while the regular troops intensified attacks on Kafr Nasej village in Daraa.
In downtown Damascus a number of citizens were injured when a mortar round hit near the Russian cultural center. (end) tk.gb
