CAIRO, Feb 3 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby Tuesday condemned in the strongest terms ISIL's murder of Moath Al-Kasasbah, a Jordanian pilot whose F-16 jet crashed in Al-Raqqah while on a mission over northern Syria some 40 days ago.
Al-Araby, in a statement, regretted failure of the UN Security Council (UNSC) and the international community to take a firm action against this terrorist group, which has been committing crimes against humanity.
He said it was time the international community unite "to eliminate the dangerous phenomenon of terrorism which is threatening international peace and security." Al-Araby said ISIL's murder of Al-Kasasbah, who Jordan said was killed on January 3, "will take us back to the dark ages." The Arab League chief called Jordanian foreign minister Nasser Judeh to extend condolences for the murder of Kasasbah, saying the pan-Arab organization was firmly behind Jordan in "these difficult circumstances."
