BEIRUT, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam condemned the bomb attack against a bus in the Syrian capital, Damascus, Sunday killing six Lebanese citizens, describing the assault as "cowardly and deplorable by all human and moral principles." Targetting "Lebanese civilians paying a religious visit to Damascus is a terrorist crime, which has no relation to Islam that terrorists use as a cover," Salam said in a statement, cited by the National News Agency (NNA).
Salam affirmed that Lebanon and its people would continue their fight against terrorism.
Al-Nusra Front claimed responsibility for the bombing of the bus which killed six Lebanese and injured 19 others.
Al-Qaeda-affiliate Al-Nusra Front claimed responsibility, through its social media accounts, over the bombing of the bus near the entrance of Hamidiya market in Damascus.
Syria Mubasher and Shaam News Network said Abulezz Al-Ansari detonated the explosives he was wearing at the bus. (end) wsm.bs
